ROAR On Road Paved Nationals @ Valkaria RC 2016
#61
Hey all: I guess outdoor paved tracks should be for 1/10th touring car only and all other classes left to indoor carpet. Thanks

This is the exact point that I'm trying to make. F1 is one of the most popular classes across the country now. They ran it at the carpet nationals, so why not the asphalt nationals? You had guys who were willing to come all the way from California to run the class until it was excluded. Those same racers would have ran other classes, I'm sure. It's a moot argument now that the event is over, but hopefully ROAR pays more attention to what's going on across the country when picking classes for the nationals. I understand that it's not popular locally, but as you said- it's the Nationals, not the Floridals.

Ran them at 386 last summer at the Tri-State Series race, as well as the past 2 years at Minnreg.

The past few comments bring me back to what i said 3 years ago. ROAR has classed set. 21.5 25.5 tc are not ROAR classes why are we running them. we make up classes to get more racers but do we have a AGM and is this discussed before hand so it can be properly addressed? Track owners want 36 classes i get it from the revenue side but those 5-6 guys that are in the 25.5 class if not offered would move up. the guys that are sandbagging the 17.5 class would move up. that is natural progression.. why is it hard..
We have set classes from ROAR and should have a regional series and national series..if there needs to be changes well that would be the reason for the AGM and discussion. 21.5, 17.5 and 13.5 are 2 seconds a lap different here and that is retarded. 25.5 is almost faster than 21.5. ROAR please look into this.. and separate classes accordingly.

Anyone know what happened to Paul L. in Modified A3? He finished second on track and timing shows that when you look at the lap times but it says DNS and he was given 10th for the round. Was he DQ'd for something?
I know it's fairly meaningless to anyone, probably Paul too but at first glance it seems like if he was not DQ'd that he should move from 5th to 4th ahead of Randy? Am I missing something?

Like I said WGT died here in Florida awhile ago. We race either GT17.5 or the WGT-R class. There is no tracks in Jacksonville anymore. If they were going to race F1's then they should have raced WGT-R as they are also on rubber tires. Does not really matter as it is over now.
