Does anyone know what happened to GROOVY DRIFT?

There was TONS of good info there. Friend and I are debating on starting a Drifting forum. Where else have the drifters gone? DRC Central? RCDori?

This is what i've heard:

I'm pretty sure GD is officially dead. I haven't talked to Ben in months, so I'm only 99.99% sure. Toward the end, I was only checking in a couple time a week at most...mainly to run COTM. I put a lot of time and effort into the site. I was both sad and somewhat surprised to see it go, but it was clearly time for the GD staff to move on. I spend most of my free time with my son, on 1:1 car forums, and playing around with the IS300. Sadly, I never even finished the IS300 replica of my car, and It's unlikely that I ever will. Here are a couple images of what was going to be one of my favorite bodies.

While my time has come to an end, I wish the other RC drift forums and their members the best of luck in the future.

Is the T-Drift "Extra-hard compound" plastic or hard rubber?

T Drifts are a plastic but not a extra hard plastic like ABS. It's more softer so it has just enough grip to get the car around the track.

Hi everyone, I recently finished my Cup Racer HPI and put HPI drift tires and itīs another world. I havenīt use the rubber tires yet. My friends now say Drifting is funnier than circuit racing. Right now I am trying to improve my skills and take my car to the local RC meeting, circuit track and try to give some slides. BTW great thread!!
