yea mate i is back been making the most of the sun hmmm well the gear is blue which i want the cases are open i hope you dont get a stone in it, have you drilled holes in the long diff half where it meets the gear? oh and the spur looks pretty mashed also is the copper over the end of the outdrive i cant see where the drive shafts slot in please fill me in

Faiz actually i did
the negative part about it is that its quite heavy for such a piece as an outdrive saver but it works
Paz yes the spur is pretty beat but im lacking parts so i just keep using it till its gona lol, the copper is an outdrive saver in which is a full circle around the outdrive theres room fot the drive pin to move freely so you guys dont have to worry about me binding my drivetrain, and i didnt make holes in the long outdrive, it only looks like that because of the mold that it came from
the rear hubs also have holes in them, and the rear arms are practicly HALLOW, well not in the graphite but as in the arm (if you dont get it look closly at my rear arms)

hi, do you guys use a locked diff? Front, rear or both?
What are the main advantages of a locked diff. And what do you guys use to lock it?

locked diff- buy one or just get a diff and take out the balls from the diff gear and tighten up. I ran a solid diff in the front then tried the rear and didnt like it as much as diffs all round
so how did you get the blue diff gear did you just spray it

what do you like?
You have a choice,
Yokomo has a drift package, nitro drift kit. and they also come with very authentic tuner bodies, s15, r33, etc. with many hop up items for performance and looks. all graphite upgrade, for the chasis, flashing lights as there are in JDM. under chassis lighting, beautiful rims, spoilers exhaust and on and on.
tamiya has a low cost drift kit, tamiya car bodies are arguably to most true to scale, and they are starting to come out with drift car bodies.
HPI has a drift kit and a nitro drift kit. Hpi bodies are cheaper than the yokes and Tamiya and look not too bad.
I have a yokomo and a tamiya. both of which I have converted to onroad racing.

i say get a tc4, then a yokomo bodie, the tc4 is perfect for drifting, and a c3 works well as you can see

Drifting on carpet
Hey guys, I'm looking for recommendations for drift tires for running on carpet. Previously I've used ASB but there are 2 problems I've found.
1) After about 5 minutes the abs heats up so much the surface becomes sticky and it starts to gain too much tractions.
2) The club isn't keen on home made tires as they're worried that a sharp edge could damage the carpet.
It seems that tamiya and, apparently, hpi are now making drift tires in addition to yokomo. Does anyone have experience running any of these on carpet? Which would you recommend?

from what i have herd, the hpis work, but i dono thats what i have herd, why dont you and you bud buy a set of each, then swap between eachother, and see what works best

Just cutting and mounting the shell ready to be sent off an sprayed and i wont have the tyres until the day of the event so need to know what size to cut the arches to as the drift tyres look very high profile.
I think 26.4mm will be the width of the tyre, as the rims alone have a diameter of almost 53mm.
