Was just going to suggest drag brake. I haven't used it but I know a few I'm racing against do.

Lower brake frequency can give you better brakes....

I've tried antilock and high and low braking strengths and end up going to regular brakes around 60% on a xr10 esc, but I keep wanting more braking power.

I know the cars are traction limited to an extent but wondering if any of you setup gurus have experienced this and what you did.
Slow slightly earlier, drive the corner as hard as possible and accelerate as soon as I can. I don't like slowing down entering a corner as it unsettles the car. It also allows me to have throttle available much faster. The car is more settled and I'm actually going through the corners faster and not coasting.

I'm not sure your problem is in your radio setup. Sounds like more of a setup issue. But what do i know

I have very little to no brake in my car. In order for me to stop i have to ride full push brake for 15-20 feet then do a circle.

Ever since 1994, I have been using a lot of drag brake - especially nowdays in F1 where the cars are quite "free" with brushless motors. On a Hobbywing type esc, probably a good start is around 40% drag brake (not sure about the xr10). Of course you don't want the wheels to lock, but the more drag brake you can get away with the better really, as it happens instantly and smoothly every time, so then you can then concentrate better on throttle, and steering.

Usually a car with little/ no drag brake, will tend to understeer on corner entry, unless the actual brake is pushed.

Hmmm ok. I went with 30% brake yesterday and managed a 3rd in the A-Main.
That last bit I think is my braking and corner entry technique. As much as I don't want to do it I may try some drag brake then to see if that helps.

drag brake should allow you yo just lift and turn. the car will remain consistent on entry that way.

Has there been any news of the front wing being updated? I had to switch away as it twisted at the slightest tap. It's not the worst wing by far. Sadly, we all hit stuff.

My original wing lasted 2 races days. Second has done 4. Can't say why but it's lasting. No signs of it just sagging like the original.

We have round pipes and wing gets pinned down and under them if you hit hard enough. I haven't broken one, but it's pretty soft now. I have a spare, but opted to try the Montech.

I've read that people have boiled the wings for 10-15 minutes to make them more durable. I haven't done it myself. Has anyone else?

I haven't had any issues , but I did raise it some in the front so far it works good. Now that I'm going to run on payment will see.

How good is the box stock set up for out side?
