Just a little update.
Having built the SR more than a year ago, i only managed to run it recently - due to covid killing most of the work schedule.
Had troubles initially with grip but somehow solved it(i attribute it to tyre/addictive change and a tyre warmer). The stock setup worked fantastic at 21.5t to the point its more of a driver issue than the car not handling well.

Btw, does anyone notice the diffrerentials and center pulley moving along the X-axis? I had the aluminium upgrade but the differential/pulley still are able to move L/R......mayeb they need shimming?

Default Measuring droop

Once we are out of lockdown in the UK and the weather is drier I am planning to try my hand at tc again. Last year I bought a second hand rx10s and just trying to set it to kit but having issues understand the droop setting.

Kit is 6mm front and 5mm rear droop, is this measured over ride height or at the hubs?

Thanks in advance.

Measured at the hub / arm.

Thanks, so that would be 5 or 6mm higher than the chassis?

Yes and most people use droop blocks and and a droop gauge to measure it.

Default SR Changes

I have the S model, I notice when looking at the SR set up sheets they tend to run reduced rear toe and higher front inner top links - so a couple of questions:

What were the changers between the S and SR?
Would I benefit from trying any of the changes out or will they only work with the SR.
Are there any other set up changes between the two that I have missed that might be useful to try.

Thanks
Pete

Hi Pete
The main changes from the S to SR are engine mount brought forward, due to this Chassis change and top deck, suspension mounts changed from fixed to pill type and the diff/spool gearing changed to a 37 or 38 tooth,
The suspension mounts are interchangeable with the Yokomo ones.

Cheers, I hadn't noticed the motor has moved!

I have 1.5 D block so might try that at some stage as one of my local tracks in tight and twisty.

Does anyone have a CRC black carpet set-up for the rx-10sr 2.0, we are starting a 25.5 novice Tc class and I am looking for a good base set-up.

Default 2.0

Looking for a new or like new condition lower graphite chassis plate for Destiny rx10-sr to purchase.

I have a new solid alloy plate if anyone is interested.

PM to discuss.

Managed to get out and race with thr tc last weekend properly for the first time. Car ran really well and was very well balanced - managed to get a smidge of off and on power oversteer just playing with the front camber to help with the tight twisty track at Coastal, Ipswich.

One area where I am struggling (and it might be my driving coming from 2wd buggies) is getting enough turn in, it does eventually turn in when the speed slows and the back comes around but feel if it was more direct I would be able to carry more speed. I am running drag brake and moved the front shocks out at the top, would adding a little more rear droop help or should I be looking elsewhere- i don't want to upset the rest of the handling if I can help it.

Thanks.
