Have you heard good things about the Graphite shaft? Is that also only available in Asia?

Usually Iīm using brake cleaner for removing dust and rubber parts from the tires. But this is before applying traction compound not afterwards.
Iīm removing the traction compound that hasnīt dried about 5-10 minutes before I go to the track using a paper towel as used in the kitchen. The one from Aldi works very good.

Rick as you have both the Team Bomber shaft and the light weight Tamiya shaft now which one do you like better? Also how much is the weight of these in compare to the stock EVO3 shaft?

How much costs the Team Bomber shaft? Did you find any other interesting parts for the EVO in Tokyo?

I would rather have the Tamiya lightweight item as its lighter than the bomber racing item but just does not look as good. No other interesting evo bits, i really wanted the milled chassis but i cud not find one anywhere. Rick

Thanks for the information. If possible could you please post a picture of the shafts and how much lighter they are?

Saw a very small picture of the Bomber shaft but you couldnīt see very much and no picture at all from the Tamiya leightweight one.

You talk about that thrust bearing?
Iīm using the Associated black grease now I think it works best from the different I tried.

But I have to say usually my rear diff only works for about 10 -15 runs. Tried carbide diffballs but thatīs not very different. Iīm not sure yet but I think itīs because the diffrings are a little on the soft side or the onepiece thrustbearings maybe isnīt that good as the thrustbearings from other cars.
I have to say the diffs from my TC3 and XXX-S worked for much longer without rebuild.

But thatīs the only problem I have currently with the EVO3.

I will get the lightweight shaft 53686 in a few days. I could make a photo with the stock shaft next to it. Weigth difference is 4g, but keep in mind thats rotating mass.

A guy who also drives in the Tamiya Euro Cup Series offered one in the German rcweb.de forum.

But there are several lightweight shafts for sale on ebay.com from sellers from Hongkong (for the same price).

evo_ uk i use this grease called JUDY BUTTER ITS USED FOR MOUNTAIN BIKES but it works great the only thing its expensive
but good i use it for my diff also .

Has anyone run the alloy rear uprites that Tamiya recently released? If so what was the change in handeling?

I suppose this is the one used in trf415. I wonder what is the purpose of making it alloy since the old plastic one works just fine. The alloy one should be heavier than the plastic one and that will add unsprung weight to the car.
