got a few questions, hopefully a few of you can answer, thanks!
1) what performance differences will be felt by adjusting the differential height? is this purely for cg adjustment?
2)what performance diffferences will i feel between flat pistons and grooved pistons?
3)what are the differences in adjusting belt tension through cams vs a belt tensioner?

To answer your questions:
1.) Generally when you raise a diff up, you gain a bit more traction at that end... especially forward bite in my experience. The car will roll more due to the weight being higher as well, so if you're not careful you can lose some side-bite. Generally, transitioning in and out of corners will be pretty smooth feeling as well. Low diffs tend to feel more aggressive.
2.) From what I can tell the groove tends to act like a tapered hole... giving a *very* slight change in damping between bump and rebound.
3.) You want to do your actual belt tensioning with the eccentric cams. The optional belt tensioner that you use on the top deck simply touches the belt and keeps it from oscillating when under load... it basically just keeps the belt running more smoothly.

Are there any companies making blue body height adjusters to match the car??

No problem! Glad to be able to help whenever I can!
I live in Orange County in Southern California, so mostly the tracks out this way: Tamiya USA whenever they have an event going on, TQ Raceway for carpet, sometimes up at Camarillo, or Greater LA on occasion.
We just had a baby, so it's cutting into my track time at the moment... but at least I can get a slight RC fix through helping others out at least

Full stick pack with 5800-6200mAh for good balance,
For 17.5t start with a 4.5 gearing, check temperature and then decide. Really depends on your track layout, size and motor.
