If ur on a budget get the 7 and put the dcv and spool parts on im running that and u have the option of using any spring instead of only short springs
Thank you. I can get the 7 over the .1 for $200 less

With the Holiday's, work being stupid busy (which is a good thing) and my kid having yet another fender-bender... It feels like it's taking forever to build this car. I'm slow anyways, but this is getting a bit ridiculous.

Anyway, made a little more progress on it - and hoping to have it ready for electronics by Wednesday, which I got in Saturday.

Also, the smaller front hub bearings should be in the mail tomorrow and I can swap in the DCV's that I already have waiting on the bench. Thanks for looking!

Im using blue kit long springs up front and springs i got from mike haynes that are painted and forgot what they where with short links upfront and medium in the rear with 1mm on the inner link shim.with 5000 diff with a tad few drops of 7000 in it.everything elses is his setup and the car can pull 12.1 to 12.8 consistently.

Hey guys. I was a getting tired of using tape to hold the battery in so I built this. First night out with it and all I can say is bye bye tape for me.

I have both the 7 and 7.1. In order to convert a 7 to a 7.1 requires the shorter shocks, but it also requires new bearing caps and shock towers. So it's not a very cheap conversion. I also put DCV's and the steel outdrives on the front spool on my 7, but overall the 7.1 is a better car. The 7.1 has a lower center of gravity and carries more speed through the corner than the 7. For a while I thought the 7 was a better car, but after dialing in the 7.1, it's a much better car.

Default Set up

What are the cars doing guys and can you pin point where on the track, i.e. Entering corner, mid exit?

What I have been doing is switching one setting at a time from stock setting start. I have been going towards Jeric's IIC spec GT set up. I have been documenting the changes and what happens. Slower process but learning a ton.
Thanks and God Bless

Default Weight balance

What is a common front to rear weight bias? My current setup is 48% front and 52% rear.

kit setup is more for outdoors more than indoors if u are indoors i would just jump on a setup from either herbert howart or epps for a base setup.
If you are running stock epps setup is a good base line to start with
If your mod i personally saw herberts car and his setup for the way he drives is butter smooth i tried it and it was good but not great for stock being theres not much more speed genarated and the forces applied to the car are different

For the love of everything holy, when will any hobby shops have steering blocks in stock?! I've been out of commission for a month because of a $6 part.

Unfortunately it looks like AE are out of them, so you're looking for somewhere that's had stock. 6.2 ones won't fit I don't think - you might be able to get them on, but would take a fair amount of surgery i would think.
