Congratulations to Yugo Nagashima for winning the 2018 JMRCA 1/12 Modified Japan Nationals this past weekend with the Destiny VD-12!!

Hello. Who knows what happened to the site destinyrcusa.com? 26 October paid for chassis Destiny VD-12. November 6, website administration sent me a letter with the assertion that the chassis will be shipped to my address. Since then my emails do not respond, the site is closed...

DavidNERODease 11-23-2018 08:06 AM

They are racing. No worries.

Should be there in next couple of days. The website usually comes down for large events. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. Site already works.
My order status was changed to"sent".
There is a track number.
I think it'll be okay and I'll get my VD12... :)

We have a number of Destiny drivers at Snowbirds this week, including Yugo, Johnny, and several others. Depending on the class, I believe they will be using both the normal stock VD-12 as well as the newly-announced conversion kits for the VD-12, as per this RedRC article: Destiny VD12-2019 conversion kits - Red RC - RC Car News

The conversion kit contains the new chassis plate, all new pod, new front brace, and a new servo/shock mount. Available in both Aluminum and Carbon and available soon (tm).

Good luck to all Destiny drivers - if you need any help go to the main room and just follow the sound of Teru's laugh.

Congrats to Kazuki Yamashita, who TQd and won Snowbird Nationals Mod 1/12 using the new VD-12 conversion kit! Also congrats to Scott Jakes, who finished 6th in 1/12 Stock Can-Am using the new VD-12 conversion kit.

We will hopefully have setup sheets available soon, along with availability for the new conversion kits. :)

So no full 2019 kits at this time?

I am not sure about future plans, but for now we are focusing on the conversion kits.

The Destiny USA team had a solid weekend at ROAR Nationals this past weekend, with the following results:
- 4th and 5th in Modified 1/12
- 6th in 13.5 1/12
- 6th and 8th in 17.5 1/12

My setup sheets are (hopefully) attached to this post - my 13.5 car was especially good. I struggled with limited track time with my modified car (hard class to drive in open practice, unfortunately), and then changing track conditions on Sunday compared to what I was able to test on Saturday night. As such, my car was always good for one random spin at the beginning of the run (thanks spool) but would then be just fine. In hindsight, I should have removed a touch of camber and perhaps gone to different tire compounds.

Hopefully the other folks will post setup sheets here soon - let me know if you have any questions.https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...46dbfc08b8.jpg

What was your total front width? I ran a 1.25 shim between the arm and bulkhead plus 1mm on the axle which got me to about 168.5. The only other difference was I ran the kit shock on the 3rd hole in front and second hole on the pod with 40wt and yellow destiny spring with x32 tires around.

If your car was 168.5, my car would be 167 mm. I don't have tires on it to measure, but will try to remember once I unpack everything.

This past weekend marked the 2019 edition of the Mile High Indoor Champs, held at 5280 Raceway in Denver, CO. The fields were small but very competitive, and it was a fun weekend of racing. I raced both 13.5 and mod 1/12, similar to what I did at ROAR Nationals. In 13.5 my car was too edgy in the qualifiers and just a little off pace, so I had trouble putting together good runs. I ended up qualifying 5th but then finished 4th in the main. In modified my car was pretty good all weekend long, although I was fighting understeer that would really start around the 4m mark. In mod I qualified 4th and finished 3rd, which was a nice way to end the season. Setup sheets attached to this post, let me know if you have any questions.
