Im not sure how to post the pics like some of you guys do but here is a link to a very nice looking new 1/12 kit |
Here you go...

Seems like a PITA to take the fronts off |
They only had pictures on display at the AOC final some of which you posted, but I like the concept of the rear dampener tubes. Looking forward to seeing and hearing how the car has been performing during testing. Hopefully they will post some video soon.

That is pretty interesting. I'd like to see one in person.

Pretty darn gorgeous.

Looks good!!! Hopefully they will hit the market very soon! I'm in for a new 12th scaler!

At the Mile High Indoor Champs in Denver I had a chance to run a pre production car and was pretty happy with the results. This was my second time running the car and my first time running on the new crc carpet. I qualified 3rd in the B-main of 17.5 and ended up finishing 4th. The car was great after I had a little setup help from Joe Trandell and with a driver that didn't hit every corner it would have been an A-main car for sure. When the car is released look for it to be in A-mains at major races around the world.

Did you run it with the short damper tubes or the traditional long tubes in the rear? This car is taking too long to release! hehe

I heard the short tubes don't/didn't do much. But that's just rumor.

short dampener tubes
On the Yokomo that I've been playing with recently, I've run it with the really short Yokomo tubes that the car comes with and also with the Team Bomber tube setup which features really nice "normal size" tubes. Honestly, I couldn't tell much if any difference on the track. I just needed to use thicker lube in the tiny little Yokomo tubes in order to make them feel about the same in my hands. On the track, the car behaved about the same with either. One drawback of the tiny little Yokomo tubes, they probably need to be cleaned and re-loaded with fresh lube more often because they have so much less surface area inside for the lube to act upon. Aside from that, the little tubes seem to work just fine on the car even though it is hard for one's brain to grasp that indeed they do work well considering how unusually small they are.

I believe the rumors are from Japanese drivers. But we'll see.
