Well the things I really noticed that made the best improvements on the car are the following and should be in this order.

tamiya oil filled shocks.
Tamiya Aluminum drive shaft
Aluminum steering rack/system the plastic doesn't allow for any suspention travel.
Tamiya Turnbuckle set
Tamiya adjustable upper arms set.
That and a Metal motor mount.
These are the things that really help improve the handling of the car.
Hope that helps.

by the way I run mine at my local parking lot track and I have the msot fun with it...LOL
Yea inexpensive cars can be just as fun.
But on a honest note...
Practice will improve the way the car handles the most.
I just got a TT01 to help show people that show up at the local parking lot to watch that you can be competative with a $80.00 car.

Maybe you could add in a upper deck for the front and rear anti rol bars...And also Ball diff and a one way for the tranmission. If you want your car to be more stable at high speed, you can get the rear toe in uprights.

Hope these helps...
