Awesomatix A800/A800R
Russian company Awesomatix have released a first teaser for their forthcoming A800 electric touring car. No details on the features or specifications are known yet but the car is meant to perform (even) better while having a lower price tag. It is understood that the kit will hit the stores this October. We bring you more information as we get them.

My guess - belt drive A700 without the floating diffs :)
|
Ditto.
I think it will belt-driven car, retaining it's AWESOME features. This will surely lead to world domination. Good move, Oleg and to the rest of Awesomatix Team. I'll gladly grab this on day 1. :) |
Finally! Now I just need to get one here before the AOC final.;)

Are we sure it is going to be a belt car, that's like admitting we got it wrong going shaft drive when all our competitors top spec cars are belt driven!

Looks like maybe a single belt drive. You can certainly see the teeth on the rear gear diff. You can see they're keeping the double wishbone suspension too. They really need to get this thing in the $500 range to compete.

:ha:

The picture shows a belt drive car. Whether this is done to mislead or not I don't know but there's no way the car in the picture is shaft driven.
|
Maybe it's a hydraulic drive with accumulator, so the motor can store energy when coasting, to be used for extra oomph under acceleration!

Seems like they should have retained that slick shaft drive system and gearboxes, but simply switched to a typical shock-tower system for suspension. Guess we'll see soon.

Hmm....if belt might be better for mod. Hoping it is still shaft though.

I am sure they are going to keep the shaft drive for spec class. |

Not really. Variety is the key here.

Maybe he is running Helical cut gears and moved the shaft really low on the chassis? :D
