Anyone tested a 13.5 motor on a motolyer as of yet interested in trying one to see if it's better than my Orion for 1c use
Thanks

I was hoping someone else with some knowledge of the Orion would chime in. My response will be a little biased of course, but I would bet the MC2 is a stronger motor. I don’t ever really recall hearing much buzz over Orion stuff in spec classes. I don’t have any motolyser numbers on a 13.5 MC2 to back up my thoughts.

From what I understood, Paul was waiting for the dust to settle on the new rules.

Don't know, I don't think anyone in the states has tested the MCR because it is not ROAR approved. I doubt it is identical but I will ask Paul if you'd like. What class are you looking to run it in?

The shaft is too long for my Awesomatix A800XA. It's hitting the battery unless I shim the motor out at least 1.5mm.

Can I trim the shaft without any ill effects on the motor?

Basically is that going to throw the balance of the rotor off?
