Mike Gee 2nd Place at ROAR nats!
Congrats to Mike Gee for finishing second place at the 2015 ROAR Carpet Nats with his RSD RR12. Starting from 5th on the grid Mike was able to maneuver his way into 2nd overall. Only his second "big" race with the car, Mike showed tons of speed and pace to keep up with the big boys. Good job Mike!

Thanks CT! Once I got the power sorted out the car was plain awesome. If I had that rip in qualifying I could have likely qualified better and challenged for the win but 2nd from 5th was more than I could have hoped for. Once I get decompressed ill post my setup on here

The setup I ended on was (special thanks to Keven H for the help!):
It should be noted the grip was super high! Some touring cars were traction rolling on the Solaris Hard spec tires, and even some pan cars traction rolled!
Front:
AE .018 springs
0.5* camber measured at wheel
0 Toe
5* caster (measured with rpm camber gauge or similar)
5* reactive
2mm shim on upper arms
1mm shim on lower arms
1mm shim on axle
kyosho 15k grease on kingpins
0 shims between upper arm and steering blocks

3.2mm ride height
0 droop
BSR team purple tires @39.8mm, SXT sauce 1/4
servo forward, links behind servo saver with 1mm shims

New Development
Hi guys, wanted to leave you all with some pictures of a change we did to our cars recently for all of you to try.
In the pictures above, you can see how we have flipped the unimount 180 degrees in order to move the mounting point for the center shock further forward.
I really feel this change makes the car easier to push hard under high bite conditions. When used with combination with the XRAY side links (longer) and a stiffer center spring, the car lifted less, carried more corner speed and this allowed us to cut our lap times by about a tenth.

So how is everyone liking their RR12 cars, I am considering a conversion kit and would like to hear thoughts from anyone that is running the 12r5 conversion.

Unfortunate that nobody has put in their 2 cents so far, so let me at least give you my point of view.
Last couple of weeks we have had a couple of break throughs with the car that I think have made our stock set up even better and the car pick up as much as 0.15 seconds per lap on average over a run on a track that has slightly less bite. All these gains came from playing around with different length links and different, more forward shock position. When testing, I thought to myself, "this is really cool, the car is so versatile, I did all these changes on the car on adjustments that most cars don't have out there even as optional parts."
One of the guys testing with me said he was impressed with how the car had completely tranformed itself in handling characteristic from one end of the spectrum to the next. He actually said it felt like a different car altogether.
The floating steering provides the car with gobs of steering. Comparing traditionally mounted servos on some prototype configurations never provided as much steering as the floating mount. This was made even more evident on our upcoming World GT car. I personally run this car with 15-20% less d/r than with other cars. To me less d/r= more cornerspeed, which is a big plus.

I feel the shock goes longer in between re builds this way. I did not notice any performance difference whatsoever.
What I notice is the shock in the other direction will have a dead spot at the beginning of the compression once the shock leaks a bit and gets a bit of air. This way seems to minimize it.

FWIW the cars with the new configuration were hard to keep up with on Saturday's Club race.
In the process of converting mine. My X10-15 is getting its links cannibalized while I wait for parts
