Is there a reason why the kingpins are so long? Seems strange to use such a long piece and have to use a ton of spacers to take up the slack. (Just started building my T2 today.)

Probably because they are readily available. You can convert from AE style to Reflex with with minimal parts swap.

Well, yes, being readily available is a big benefit, we don't manufacture our king pins at the moment as our volume is very low. As a benefit though, it allows you to play with knuckle positioning quite a bit to move the roll center around. In lower bite and on asphalt when looking for steering we often run a lot of spacing under the knuckle and above it. This gives us a higher RC and lots of camber gain. With a shorter king pin we would not be able to achieve this.

My bad shoulda explained better- I set droop to get .2-.3mm over ride height first, then preload my springs to get the ride height perfect. Many times I only need to tweak droop screws vs preload for the small variances in tire diameter, as the spring preload at least imo is a coarser adjustment than tweaking droop screws. But yes if necessary I reset ride height with springs.

Again, the droop screws have no influence on ride height if being used correcty. If the ride height changes on your front end when adjusting these, then you are not running enough droop and you are changing height by binding the droop settings on the car.
The thread pitch on both is the same the springs and droop screws so the adjustment should not be more course on one over the other.

I'm actually liking the idea of the long kingpin. I have not driven my car yet and I don't know what is best but the long kingpin really opens up the tuning options. Without these options we may never know what we are missing.

New Front Lower Arms for RR12T2
Now available at Reflex Racing are the New Lower Arms for your RR12T2 or V2. These new arms shed some weight off of the front end of the car allowing you to bring the weight of your RSD 12th scale down even further.
They are freer, easier to install, adjust and as an added benefit the a arms are now the same left to right. Most every part, with the exception of the knuckle is now the same left to right on your RR12T2.

Have the arms on my car, the slight bind at the extremes of movement are gone and can attest that the suspension movement is very smooth and no binding is noticeable at any point. Will have on track testing Saturday. I will get a setup written out and posted by Friday. I've had great success with the t2, three races, three wins and tq's along with single lap record.
