First shakedown of my new Roche at the track today. My first 1/12 scale car in 20 years or so. Digging it so far. Ran half w/spec foams and half w/SJT rubbers. Left the setup the same and saw a 0.3-0.5s differential between the two. Not too bad.

My new body for GT12, was running the Lotus, but it's a bit of a brick shape. Hoping this Akura works well. Excuse my rattle can paint job.

Looks pretty damn sweet to me for a rattle can paint job.

The Akura is one of the two bodies I run. My other is the Blitz 60909 on my CRC CK25!

I didn't like the way my new Akura body pushed down in the front, looked like it will hit the top of the front tires. So I added a third body post to hold up the front of the body, it now doesn't deflect at all. I used a CRC body post because it's pretty skinny and only uses a 2.5mm screw to hold it on, so I could minimize the size of the hole I drilled in the X12 front cross brace.

To stiffen the body I use double sided tape - works fine for me.

I like it, seeing people think outside the box with good solutions is the biggest part of the hobby for me. Those cars need that or a foam bumper that actually fits right.

730 on the money, nice! I was asking about the weight of the body though. If you happen to have weighed it.

Body is 50.4 grams. Kind of on the heavy side seeing that my old Montech Lotus weighs 51.4 grams with a bunch of shoe goo.

Thanks. That's about what I expected. I just finished a Montech Ferrari, with a light paint job, some stickers, and the kit wing mount hardware and it weighs 50.9.
