Although a different model chassis, I made this change for the AOC race on black carpet and it made the car a lot easier to drive. Got no reason to think it would be different on a 419.

Phil.
Thank you, and I agree. I don't think there should be any difference from one car to the next, at least as long as they are both on the same planet, the same universe with the same laws of physics.

However, there is (yet again) no explanation offered for this effect, nor any quantifiable measure of the effect.

And yes, I have tried this on a vast diversity of cars, both on carpet and asphalt, but have noticed no effect at all whatsoever.

I'm just trying to help by offering insight from what I've experienced. It is what it is.

Perhaps your driving style, ability and sensory feedback simply are not at the levels to notice subtle differences like this.

It may be, but then again, if it was a real effect it wouldn't depend on any of that to show.

Think of gravity for instance.

I think it is more likely that your answer is the fundamental reason why most people prefer to claim they "feel" it. Makes them part of the club with the sensory whatever else you said and contributes to perpetuating a legend long enough that people start believing in it, and by then nobody is game to point out and laugh at the emperor's new clothes.

I bet none of those people would agree to take part in a properly set up, controlled, blind experiment.

Since I posted a pic of another brand, I guess it's only fair to post a pic of what I'm working on before play time

Triple X rated

One for each qualifier and main haha. J/K

One's a test mule and backup car. The others are race cars that are kept in primo condition.
