Yes, the new chubs are a different height. The flanged tubes are different. It's like 0,7mm in it or something.

Oh, and the ball stud changed height at one point.
Easy to just assemble a knuckle with the chub and get verniers. |
Anyone here got there TRF419 to hand? I need to know the space between the two steering post screws (from the centre of each) . It is around 25-26mm but if anyone has one at hand could you please let me know.

I sold my 419 had have some brand new parts still left over, I have the square de 5degree c hubs aluminum, servo holder, Tamiya servo horn aluminum blue, suspension spacers, 3mm counter sunk wshers, and hiro Seiko blue aluminum screws to do the whole top of the kit, everything is still in packages, selling for $75 usd shipped, just the c hubs are $50 alone, pm is the key thanks

Do any of you dudes have a recommended diff weight? As in put it on a scale and weigh it.
I bought my current 419 brand new but built, I think it's running 1200. I want to lift it slightly to 3000. |
3000 is a good starting point. Although if running on a larger track with fast sweepers move to 5k or even 6

You will have to ream out the outer hinge pin hole on the arm (not sure of the size) and use the X-ray pin. This may make the arm weak at the attachment pony and start to break.

The TRF 416 CHub broke also to much ... only the TA05 CHub works great. Nothing else work better than the old CHub from the old TA05. Okay to review for sure the correct one to use on the 419: Part # 51293 from the TA05V2, TA05IFS models http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/product/51293.jpg OR Part # 51107 for the TA05MS, TA05R models http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/product/51107.jpg I see the mentioned 54031 as the hard version of the 51293 (Pic # 1) and no point to use. |
