One thing to note is regarding the rear wheelbase. If your using the kit suspension blocks (X/F) then try 2.5mm. This is equivilant to using 2mm with X/E blocks. This is due to the arms being swept back a little more and lengthening the wheelbase, hence needing less shims to get the rear wheels in the same place.
HiH Ed |
I know this is for the experts talking set up, but new to TC's and built a 419 (great build) and just testing on some tennis courts here and the car is fantastic right out of the box.
I just have a grinding type sound that will be heard on a full stop to full throttle start (and a tiny bit of "bog" almost like turbo lag on a real car) but feathering the throttle from standstill will not produce this and will give me smooth accel to speed. Sorry for the noob question and please direct me to the right place to ask if I'm off base here --- just thought you guys know this chassis Thanks |

Are your belts loose? If they are too loose the belt could be skipping when you hit the throttle or the brakes hard.

Gearing? Motor timing? Blinky mode or turbo/boost?

If it happens again test with different sensor cable. I know you said it's fine.. Those wires are delicate and may appear fine.. But a bad wire can cause a lot of problems.

Has anyone tried the 42290 Carbon Chassis 2mm thick with steering bridge and steering brace?
I want to buy  |
Have an event coming up later this week - round 2 of the AOC run by Scotty Ernst.
Car prep finished tonight, new motor and new batteries has meant new wiring. Quite possibly my neatest job yet. Umino eat your heart out :D http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b2...pskoepbdlb.jpg

Had a day of practise at IMCC, suffice to say, car felt really really good on track, but hard to gauge the pace as was the only mod. But consistency was good, so happy with progress in that department :) Ed |
