X-Gear springs are available in most Japanese hobby shops. You might have to do some searching around to find A) Hobby shop willing to do international orders and B) If they have the springs in stock.
Look at Futaba Pro Shop online website. I've bought them off the shelf and seem to have quite a good selection of X-Gear springs. However, Pink, Silver, and Red are hard to come by at the moment. :( Luckily I have all of them ;) Go check out their online store http://www.pro-s-futaba.co.jp/store/ If the springs you want are not in stock send an E-mail to the shop owners. Simply let them know you're interested in ordering X-Gear ....... springs. Try and keep the English fairly simply and straight forward. Worth a try :) |
One thing I noticed about x-gear springs on my spring gauge is that each spring color has a smaller increment in spring rate compared to any other brand of spring I own.
The 5 springs from silver to yellow span only 35 Gfmm So if you can't find pink. blue or red is not that far off. |

Thanks Ed, also any idea why Banzai arent carrying any Tamiya kits online anymore? I went to buy the M05 V2 Pro but their online kits have gone from about 25 down to 3-4
They don't know when (or if) they will be restocking Tamiya. |

Did you get the two diff halves/cases correctly put together? They fit together one way and only one way... See building manual or this diff build review:

I recently purchased the trf 419 and I have a problem with the differential gear that breaks. Use the red o-ring included in the kit.
Have you ever encountered this problem? Thank you. Attachment 1294609 |
Yes, the diff cases will join only if aligned.
For me the pin is too short. Thanks.

What do pinks measure? They say c2.6 which is commonly 260?
And are they 1.4mm and 6.5 coils? Edit: I have no way of measuring it, just calculating off what the manufactured has stated but they do feel similar to ride pro match yellow on track. |

I have a complete set of xgear I can check later today if I have time. 2.6 should be around 14.8 lbs/in.
Edit: I have no way of measuring it, just calculating off what the manufactured has stated but they do feel similar to ride pro match yellow on track. * For the record, I've never run X-Gear springs so if they run soft then it makes sense they would match up to something lower. :-) |

Ride Yellow is like 2.4. Soft. 2.6 would be more like a Ride Blue. Between an HPI Silver/Ride Red and HPI Blue/Ride Green.

It is causing me to rethink the rates. Thanks. |
S1 (soft) range
http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/product/tcprospring.jpg Std range http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/product/TC_PRO2.jpg Thanks to TQRacing for the images :) So in theory Xgear pink and Ride Yellow are essentially same rate. But would appear to me to arrive there in a different way - the Xgear uses less coils so the wire gauge/stiffness must be different. This would lead to different feel on track I expect. What needs to be remembered is spring ranges like the second image above and the likes of HPI Pro4 (where silvers come from - 300g/mm in theory, bit less in practice apparently)came out when cars were 1500g+ and ran NiCd/Nimh cells. The S1 rides and Xgear are "post" lipo spec, way softer to deal with a car that is 10-15% lighter. Funnily enough the spring rates are around 10-15% less. |

RC Mart has them in stock.
that's double the cost of Ride Springs, and more expensive than xray whose stuff is normally the highest price - Would want to be amazing. |
