Another german good Tamiya site http://tamico.de/Tamiya-TRF419-Chassis-Bausatz-42285 only 419€ for the beginning.
Or this one here: http://www.haertle.de/RC+Modellbau/R...satz+1+10.html But Seidel is the cheapest in the Moment :p |
rc-champ changed their arrival date from Dec 31 to Dec 19. Still tentative date, but it's getting closer. For those of us in the US, the $ has finally climbed out of the basement. 419 is ~49000 yen (incl. tax super rajikon) or ~45000 yen (excl. tax rc-champ).
including shipping it should easily arrive sub $500 |

Saw one on track (carpet) this weekend. Looked really good and much better than the 418 on carpet. The diff is super smooth.
|
Are they available in Canada now? if so, if it is a big savings from buying in US I would consider it. Anyone?

I'm very curious. If we install a 419 diff in the 417 and 418. How much better will those chassis work?
|
I pre-ordered 2 kits at RC Champ. No response at all! Did anyone get an answer ?

I could just ask him, but it's far more fun guessing what they are. |
The bodies are a lightweight ltcr and a Tamiya Lexus rc f.... Someone asked about the different earlier, don't know what the 418 different is like but this one is 37t and black with white internal gears...

See id post but people like Martin then say im bragging...
So you can wait for your kits to arrive to tell... Don't feel like bragging anymore this week as I have no time anyways I get to build a 419 for this weekend race... That's my rants lol |

I'm assuming the diff fits because they tested the diff on there 418. Belts may be different.
The 416 (which seems to have similar bulkhead spacing as the 419) used wider eccentric bearing holders. Narrower versions of this were used on the 417 and 418. |
I'll test that this week... I'll just take a quick measurement of the bearing seat in both diffs..

I'm with you on this as they did test this diff on the 418 for quite some time.

If it is the step up as reported (no doubt it is), will be a nice $30 upgrade for older cars for sure.

419 setup question
Hey guys, heard "tamiya" springs are not good on carpet. am I looking at getting other springs other than what comes in the kit? Also, for 17.5 blinky, any recommendations for an ESC? I will only need this ESC for 17.5 blinky so I don't want to buy something that has stuff I won't use. BUT I will be racing so I need a good one to be competitive, etc. Thanks guys,
