Glad to see it's an option for the existing platform and the possibilities to improve performance in certain conditions. Cudo's to Xray for making efforts to continue improving the car.

Darn, I was hoping it was a copy of the leaf spring idea with normal shocks.

I dont know why we dont back to a pillow ball suspension system. You csn adjust track, camber, and toe all in one piece. In addition your hub is also your spindle so fewer parts to break.

Oh I answered my own question, fewer parts is lower profits. That wont ever happen

exactly! What he said!

I remember my kyosho v one rrr's etc with the pillow balls.
When I started racing again recently and brought my T4, I though it was a little backwards!

British model car company PB RACING produced their version of this system in the 80's called RISE (roll induced steering effect) on their X3 1/8 nitro buggy.

They had 4 wheel steering on their previous buggy the Xi2!!

Would be interesting to see if it does equate to faster laps or just a feeling thing.

A traxxas Revo or t maxx could be easily modded to work like ARS!

That's why I still run my XRay T1 chassis (four of them!). I refuse to use the same outdated hinge pin design that was on my Austin Healey Sprite.

I would too, but I don't think it'll help everyone

X-ray tend to release upgrades that mention are suitable for low/med/high grip tracks, so it will be interesting to see where they find this "upgrade" works best.

They still use some pillow balls etc on their 1/8 buggy, so if they're warranted on a design they clearly still use them!
You'll probably find that pillow balls increase un-sprung weight and allow too much deflection in the geometry over curbs and bumps etc. Great for absorbing impacts in off road vehicles, but not good in high speed on road applications

So, you run old cars purely because you've deemed one feature to be a step backwards and too similar to an antique car

Tamiya did something crazy with their rear arm setup quite a few years ago too....

You don't see it hanging around though, so I am not convinced it's going to work well - but never say never!

They are lipotech xr vario an italian production motor (although I think they are a copy of the reedy sonic 2 but with ceramic bearing and something more). Anyway a very good motor

The DJ Module was a dialed setup.

I still have one in the shop somewhere. Surely it too will make a comeback.
