This one is sold out 9804570
May I ask if Tamiya 5455040 fits to the bevel gears inside the gear box? Thanks!

For the top case fitment issues a little grind will do wonders!

I did something along those lines, though I like that method more I think. But that won't help the fact that the top case rocks side to side and then binds the diff bearings when screwed down. I'm tempted to sand the top case flat (sand paper on a setup board), but that would technically squish the bearings even more. So, I'm currently using two 0.1mm shims on the rear two screw holes (opposite input shaft), in essence propping the case up on one side to let the diff bearings breathe. I think it's helping... maybe

Can anybody recommend which 48 pitch spur gear and pinion they are using successfully for their Evo6 in 17.5 and 21.5? Not 64p or o6 module. Thanks.

Why not?

Please explain your theory, don't just make a statement like that. Doesn't help anyone.

As mentioned before the modification is very simple and maybe the original small 16T bevel gears will also be good enough. Use a 9 or 10 mm wood drill bit, drill approx 1.5 mm from the top of the 16T bevel gear ( small end ) to copy the indent that is in the TB-04 EVO 6 16T bevel gear so the c-clip will fit. I did it by hand and it took about 30 seconds to do.

The 39T bevel gear or TB EVO 5 One-Way gear is a direct fit.

Never had a problem driving 13.5 Boosted 12T(Tamiya) or even 6.5T with the Evo 5.

Better they would make a new Lipo Chassis ,Motor mount and floating servo mount (like EVO 6) for the EVO 5 with the motor placed to the Left and with a floating servo mount like the EVO 6.

@F1Jet

I mostly use original Tamiya 0.4 spurs and carson steel pinions but for 48 dp i'm using RW Racing Supalite Spurs and Ultra Light Weight Hardened Aluminium pinions.

TB-03, TB-04 Pro, TB EVO 5(MS), TRF 418, ...

17.5(blinky or booted) is still acceptable but not 21.5 (blinky)

In fact the the biggest pinion is 45 and smallest spur is 65, therefore your fdr should be 3.61.

Do you understand?

My top cases no longer rock. Grind little by little till a 10mm bearing sits nice.

Grinding the hole for the smaller 10mm bearing cured the case rocking side to side? That seems odd to me, as my rock on their own with no bearings or anything inside. In fact, I think they rock on the edge opposite the input shaft, that is the edge I ground down in one of them to make them fit right. It's just difficult to tell what makes the gear diff (side) bearings bind when the case is screwed down.
