I have multiple Exo 6's. I run them in VTA and USGT.

Very good stock class chassis. Incredibly free drivetrain with excellent aftermarket support from Exotek as well as OEM Tamiya options.

Mike I think your right after I stripped two spur gears at my last race back to back. One of them during the main.

Mike, if running 48p gears, what size pinion and spur are you running? I can do the math to get a comparable ratio, but I don't know what matches diameter wise. Example. I currently run a 78/49 64p ratio. A 48/30 48p gives the same ratio, but are the gears (particularly the spur) the same size?

They won't be the same size. To convert a gear from one pitch to another and keep the same size, divide by the current pitch and multiply by the new pitch. 78 / 64 * 48 = 58.5. A 58 tooth 48p spur would be roughly equivalent to your 78 tooth 64p spur.

Depending on motor class I generally go with 55-58 tooth spur gear with 58 being my normal 17.5 motor gear. I believe Robinson and ARC makes either size.
I should look into making some 57 tooth as that seems that could be the best for both 21.5 and 17.5 gearing.

Thanks for the info. That helps figure out pinion size. Some Exotek spurs would definitely go with the rest of my Exo gear. Can we get some sneak peaks of those mythical aluminum dear boxes?

Was able to get some pics today after my Darside decals came in. if you can't see this on the track, you probably shouldn't be racing.

Nice decals.... If you can see it as good as a bright colored car, you're probably not going fast enough to Tq and win... Let us know when you switch to a brighter color scheme for the win....
