Its not an Evo 6, but if you plan on doing the Exo conversion anyway it looks like ewippler has a NIB TB04R for sale

Questions??

Hi Guys,
my name is Michael and I'm from Germany. Here only a few People have the EVO6, so I decided to ask you for some help.
I just started RC racing a few moths ago with an old TA04. I just bought a EVO6 to compete 21,5T in summer. I build it last weekend and I have a question that some of you could help me with.
After mounting the spur to the spur holder and the main shaft I placed it in the center bulkhead and fixed it with the 2 srews. Now I saw there is a lot of side to side movement when it is mounted so that the spur is kind ob wobbeling when I spin it. I think there are 5/10 of a milimeter space between the bearing of the spur holder and the fange of he main shaft.
I thought of placing a shim here to reduce the clearance.
Did anyone also noticed that? Is this kind of normal and I can use it like that?
I hope I explained it good enough to understand.

Best regards, Mike

Add shims anywhere you think is appropriate. It's easy to tell if the extra movement is necessary or not. In that location, the extra movement obviously isn't necessary. However, I don't think it will cause any problems either; I have the same movement on the spur shaft in my TB04R, and it's fine because there is no sideways load placed on that shaft.

One of my three exo6 is up for sale in the FS threads. Pm me if interested. The car has new gears, spins very free and has a smooth specR diff installed.

Welcome to Tamiya, Mike. Otherwise known as the land of Tamiya slop. Shims are the currency of choice here. Use anywhere and everywhere, but don't despair. TRF cars are the same.

Very happy with the performance of the exo-six this weekend at The Tamiya Grand Prix

Loads of fun wheeling the shaft drive around in GT and 17.5 TC

That car seems to be made for that track and Sweep tires

Well done Exo-Mike !

Has anyone tried ceramic bearings in their evo6 gear cases as a way of reducing "bind" at the pinions? I'm no expert for sure but I would think a top quality bearing may handle the radial load better than the kit supplied ones. I'm hoping someone else has tried this with good results?

Hi guys

May I know what is Evo 6's default steering (in terms of degree) as I noticed that my Evo 6 steering angle seems to be a little less. Thanks.
