Also if you have one, check spring tension on the springs with a spring thing.
10A is probably a good motor if everything is good on it. But the motorcheckers we use are limited in usefulness anyway. Best way to check is lap times or maybe get someone to run it on a fancy motor dyno if you know anybody with one. But if it drives fast times on the track, keep it for the big heats and mains, you know it's a good one.

I know this has been asked only about 1 million times so.... I new to RC and I have a TC3 and a epic x and a co27 pro, monstor pro. our track is about 50 by 36. What type of gearing should I do ? Is there a site that list what your gear ratio should be per motor and track size ? So I know when I goto another track. Also I have a 48 pitch now, would it be better to switch to 64 pitch? There is just so much to learn, lol
Thanks for the help guys
Also are the Reedy or Orion stock motor any good?

how close are the 13.5 motors all around compared to the co27?

will there be any arguing between the 2? i just put 13.5's in my boys' cars and they run a sportsman class with the rest of the kids and i really don't want to make anyone mad.

someone told me that i would never get the same braking with the brushless motors. Is there any truth to that?
