any suggestions on brushes/spring combo for alot of pull out of a corner.

thanks.
How big is the track? I used a CO27 on this track a few weekends ago (http://www.ycityhobby.com/images/DSC02015.JPG). I had red/purple springs. The motor would have worked well in the hands of the right driver. Others that drove my car were quite impressed with it.

You should get about 27 - 30 on a TD45 @ a 15amp load at 7.0v

40k on a TD 45 Dyno is a little far fetched for a Stock Motor......

Nice Track!

I would say the track is 50 feet wide 30-40 feet deep. sorry no pic
it takes about 16-19 seconds to get through based on skill(I'm on the high side).
Outside asphalt parking lot that gets dusty.

thanks for your reply, i'll try red/purple on 767.

16-19 by the good drivers? That is a pretty technical track then for that size. I think the picture I had the lap times were around 12-14 seconds for the good drivers. On that track I was running a rollout of about .9 (other were running about 1.0) and my motor was getting up to about 200 degrees. There was a lot of braking (esp with my bad driving).

our carpet track is 75 x 36 and our lap times are like low-to-mid 7 seconds a lap for 19 turn foam and around mid eights for stock rubber for 8-10 corners

I have pm'd a few motor tuners and i guess was ignored, but i am just wondering with the new co27 motors what is the best spring/brush combo for it. I will be using this motor at trackside hobbies in wisconsin, where the novak race was held.

any help would be great

thanks

Some people dip it under water with 4V.

Some people don't break in at all. <--- I'm here

when gearing a high torque motor in comparison to a high RPM how do you figure out the gearing? I have an ROAR and a monster but cant find the sweet spot for the motors. Should a high torque motor be geared down and high RPM have a taller pinion?

Usually the monster gets about 2 teeth more pinion then the ROAR.
