Here are a few pics of mine at my LHS carpet track today. Talked with one of the F1 racers at the track whose interested was peaked by my car. Could be rolling it out as a class in the near future. With the longer wheelbase, it is not as twitchy as the shorter wheelbase 12th scale. The car did not "diff out" like my 12th scale does at times.

I don't know myself. I got mine through my LHS which orders directly from Kyosho America. I believe there are some Asian or European r/c websites that sell them but it could cost you more than $300 (mine was less than $300 out the door with sales taxes).

This coming Saturday, I am going to test the car with a 17.5BL motor. The car was quick with the 21.5BL motor when I tested it last Saturday at my carpet track. For a racing class, I think that one of these two motor offerings would work best to run for this class. A 25.5BL motor will be too slow and 13.5BL will put it in the 10th scale pan car (WGT for your politically correct guys) speeds (which could be a handful for many).

Tested the car with a good 17.5BL today. This is the way to go if a class gets started. I ran with a 5000mah, 35 C, 7.4v 2-cell battery. The car was a bullet on the straightaway and fast as heck in the infield. With the extra length of the chassis (as compared to a normal 12th scale), it was more stable everywhere on the track.

Great to see some support for these great looking cars, would be nice if people in the UK took notice of them too. What do you guys do for tyres? Do they accept normal 12th tyres?

It appears that this car does accept regular 12th scale tires. The rear hubs are three bolt just like the tires made by Jaco, CRC, John's BSR, etc. I am trying to get some motivated to run the car locally since it costs the same as most 12th scale kits currently available. With the chassis being over 100mm longer than the regular 12th scale, it give the car more 10th scale pan (WGT) characteristics. I like that fact that you can use a 2-cell LiPo (short or long) and regular size electronics (servo and Rx) because you have room on the longer chassis. Also, being able to use a 2-cell battery, no more 1-cell booster modules or buying special ESCs that are designed for a single cell.

block, could I ask you to post a picture or two of your car along side a normal 1/12th scale car for comparison purposes. It would help me get a better viewpoint of the two cars sizes. I am thinking of getting the Porsche eventually. Thanks.

Here are a couple of pics of the size difference between the two. The 12th scale in question is a Xray X12 Link car. The kit cost me less than $300 through my local hobby shop.
