Team Associated TC6.2 Touring Car

Got to run mine for the first time yesterday. Finally!
Really it's a great car!
Perhaps I got a 'bad batch' of turnbuckle eyelets tho.
I had three of them just completely split in half while practicing.
Not even on hard hits to the boards
Hobby shop only had T5 eyelets so I subbed in a few of those
Their considerably larger than stock
Anyone else have issues like this?

Past that look at improving the shocks with rsd soft bladders, piston heads and perhaps springs in the future.

Um, I think I am running like a 96 spur with a 47 pinion. The FDR is around 4.09 Our track is smaller running about 20x40' ish It is a very responsive dialed in car I find. I run a Tekin Gen2 blinky though I suppose any number of esc's would be great.

I guess with a grain of salt:
One person I know liked them but felt it just caused things to break down the line; I'm assuming steering blocks or perhaps the arm?
Another person I read on these forums felt it took away steering.
Ultimately it depends on what you like I guess; I'm sure a lot of people like them. Myself I don't think it is worth it; I don't break near as much c-hubs as one would think.

So I have a question I hope someone can help me with...
I just finished putting together my TC6 (the original, not 6.1/6.2). Found it new in box on here and couldn't pass up the deal.
After putting it together, it looks like the belt is going to rub the lipo. There is a little piece on the bottom of the chassis under the belt that is supposed to keep the battery away from the belt I assume, but it doesn't really stick out past the belt itself.
I went back and checked and double checked and everything appears to be assembled right. Is there something I'm missing?

Though I've never seen it; I've heard of it. However; Christian Tabush has a fix for it and posted a relevant item.

This is a good system for securing the battery.
The package in the picture is for the TC6.2 but a similar set is available for the TC6-6.1.
The battery stop is longer to help stop the battery from twisting and moves the battery .5mm further away from the belt.
Oh yeah... it's CF too!

I use Yokomo mid/front and HB rear. I've run a whole season in 13.5t and still on my first set.
Part numbers:
Rear: Hot Bodies 68704 for the TCX
Mid/Front: Yokomo BD-516L for the BD5 and BD7

Spec-R DCVs in TC6.2
Bought a used tc6.2 and it's got Spec-R DCVs that are not a perfect fit with the Associated hex hubs. The dowel pins that go through the axles are clearly not the correct size for the holes, and they are very very sloppy....the pins are about 1/2 the diameter needed. (pins fall out easily once the hex hub is removed).
The correct sized pins do not go all the way through because the pins hit the bearing races on the other side of the hole.
Has anyone here used the Spec-R DCVs with the proper sized pins, and what did you do to get the proper pins in and correct fitment?
Thanks,

I haven't used Spec-R but with DCV's from AE or RSD you need 5x10x3mm inner bearing at steering block. Using regular 5x10x4mm wheel bearing could cause the problem.

I did remove the Spec-R DCVs and installed the Associated DCVs to eliminate the slop, now it's gone and it feels like the other TC6.2 I have, should be OK now. Thanks for your input.
