In looking at them more closely. I think I like the thirteen more.

That is a stellar paint scheme especially considering today's announcements.

Since we're all showing pics, here's a thirteen I did a while back:

Loving the photos!!! Beautiful!

...I hope to join this thread soon. I have a few cars that are selling right now, waiting for funds to go through then will be purchasing an X1 to start racing w/ my club.

The X1 kit is fantastic and such a clean design. I wanted to stick with VBC products but Xray was just too good this time.

Body Shell Competition

We are looking for an X1 with a well painted and decalled body shell to publish on our website and in Racing Lines Magazine.

Criteria:

- no touring car type paint jobs with swirls or patterns

- a paint job from a real F1 team or your vision of a paint job that could be seen on a real F1 car is needed

- good photos are needed. Preferably on a plain background (photograph your car with a plain coloured bed sheet or towel underneath and behind it)

- provide photos from different angles of your car and if you have tidy wiring then a shot of the car from above without the shell.

Check out our photo gallery for inspiration

Here's an example of something that we would publish in the magazine. If it's very good then the editor may even put it on the cover (but that's out of our control so no promises) - the photo shown is a Tamiya F1 rather than an X1 and so not eligible for this competition:

Email your entries to: [email protected]
Entries close: Monday 27 April 2015

You can send the photos in any format but keep the original hi-resolution photos from your camera as we will request them if you win.

We'll publish the winner and a link to a page with all the entries received.

So take some good photos and send them in today!!

PS. Here's our X1 review article

Just finished this late tonight. I'll take some better pictures in the daylight later in the week. Assembling and detailing this amazing F1 kit by Xray and beautifully made body by Protoform consumed a lot of my life this weekend. Gotta get back to the real world before I lose my tan! And my wife.

Anybody else having rear axle bearing issues? I blew out two of them today. Found out another guy blew out 3. Mine were on the spur side in pod. Tried with a small amount of axle slop and other with none. Also striped two spurs today. Rough first time out. lol
