The car I have is a new 2017 in the box. Trying to figure out if it's worth converting. I am sure it would be competitive the way it is. You like the Roche huh?

Does anyone know where you can get the '18 parts, like the pivot and new steering blocks?

Seems the major stores don't have stock yet.

Jan Ratheisky (Xray driver) won plenty of races with the 17. I have a 17 and I'm tempted to buy the 18 but I have to learn this car and see what setup works. The 18 is a refinement of the 17 it won't be majorly different in feel but slightly better.

Roche is definitely good but you want to make sure there is parts support and other drivers you can talk to for setup changes etc.

I'll be debuting my 17 on carpet this weekend cannot wait.

That's the nice thing I suppose with most XRAY platforms. The next iterations are only refinements and not necessarily a way better/different car. I know there are some '15s that are still competitive. Good points you make.

What do people like for tyres on black crc carpet? I have tried the gravity and the CRC. Are there really just like two or three tyres with different names on them or are the hudy ones the same as something else or are there like 5 kinds of f1 tyres?

Are you guys running 13g or 16g wire to the motor? Anyone done a back to back to see if there is any difference with the 25.5?
