Paint the car after cutting and fitting the body to the chassis...It is also easier to see if the body is rubbing inside that way...
Set the body on the mounts.
Shine a bright light under the car so you can see the posts through the paint.
Cut the rear holes first.
With the body all the way down on the rear posts, use the light to find the front post.
Protoform bodies need a ton of hacking to fit on the Xray. I hacked all the way forward to the rear sidelink balls.

This may be completely obvious, so excuse my ignorance... but how do you apply the MG Pirelli tire decals (from TQracing?
I was expecting a transfer decal.. but it appears to be a sticker. Are you just supposed to cut closely around the sticker and then apply it straight to the wheel?

He personally likes to cut and apply each of the 4 pieces separately.
Me and a few of the others cut the full circle outside, apply the sticker using the target in the middle that he put on for us to center it then carefully cut the center out along the edge of the rim.
The sticker also acts as extra protection for the tire when I/we happen to kiss the boards.

I tend to clean the sidewall with lighter fluid first, the carefully apply the sticker.
I also tend to make small adjustments to how it's lined up as a I go around, so it make take a while to get the sticker central to the tyre.

My good friend MG is a sales rep for vinyl in the print industry and after several years of testing has these stickers holding up very well.
