Aluminum flex or full aluminum chassis for sure. Get yourself some 2.5 front springs to replace the 3.5.

Gear diff is preference. I have found myself to be quicker with a gear diff on carpet personally. But I know people who prefer ball diff.

Pretty much what Dan said. I run the batteries across. My car is a 15 and has the solid aluminum chassis. I also like the gear diff. I also run TCS tires on exotek wheels which have a 3mm offset.

Most big races and a lot of clubs use TCS tires or CRC. It will be interesting if the Gravity tires will be added.

Received my Fenix X1 chassis and pod for my '17 from CRC. In case anyone was wondering, there is a very tiny chamfer on both the edges of both the top and bottom, which the X-ray aluminum chassis doesn't have. For the milled sides, it is not a chamfer, but a stepped milling. 0.15mm has been milled from the sides, not much at all. The chassis is also slightly narrower by about 2mm on each sides of the widest point.

Little stiffer than the option Xray X1 flex chassis but of course, not as stiff as the full aluminum X1 chassis.

Overall, a very nicely machined product and a little more affrodable than the X-ray brand option. Works on the 15/16 cars too. Carpet season needs to start sooner so I could test it out.

I think it is time to change the fossil rules. F1 should be the faster class in the real racing. But in the RC world we even cannot accept a camber and tow in the rear. IS it a JOKE?

I just got this car and I do alot of travel races, so having just the essential spares would be great
speaking from experience, if you break the lower arms, might as well check the servo stand for any tweaks

I am looking for tires that work on asphalt (fine surface).
The temperature here in Sweden is usually not so high.

Now i have been testing with a indoor Ride tire (F1 ETS RIDE) The grip is not good.

Thanks
Mike

Bonanza,
The Pit Shimizu 574/575 combo should be good as long as the temp is around 10 degrees C or more.

The ride GR tires will work perfectly well given the car setup is right. These seem to be much better compared to the XR.

I like the solid chassis. I also glue my sidewalls. I race at The Gate and usually the traction is always up. The aluminum chassis got rid of a lot of the traction roll issues. All the tracks I race on have black carpet.

I think going to the 25.5 motors has made for much closer and better racing. At least indoors anyway.
