On grey ozite, i used almost full tire, maybe 1/8th of an inch dry. Then let it sit for about 15-20 minutes, reapplied to dry spots and went out wet. Ran the car a lap or 2 to get the compound off and tires warmed.

Sounds like a good starting point. Thanks.

Any advice regarding gluing the front outside sidewalks to harden them & prevent traction roll?

A lot of people at my local swear by this for both F1 and TC, but I can't find much info about it on the forums.

You HAVE to glue the front sidewalls on black CRC carpet, I likely would at least try it for grey carpet as well. I even glued the rear sidewalls for black carpet and switched to soft springs to let the car chassis roll, instead of traction rolling onto it's lid every lap.

I just put a drop on a carboard parts tag and drag it on the sidewall while the tire's spinning. Not sure if there's a better technique.

For grey carpet, I glued only the front outer sidewalls up to rounded edge. Also, another tip to help traction roll, run as small of a spur you can to move the motor as close to the axle as possible.

Now thats why Drew said to run small.... I thought it was to prevent striping the spur on rollovers from the rear wing coming in contact with the spur.

Got to be heading your way to get some F1 action. when y'all starting up weekend runs

I hear the 17 is at IIC. Not much different but typical X-ray refinements. Front swaybar setup and a couple small changes.I am glad it's not a huge departure from the 16.

I'm still running a modded 15 and have no problem competing, lol. But I do want a new 17 when they come out, just for fresh parts. Also, would like to know if the existing aluminum chassis will fit the new 17, one less thing to buy when it does come out.

I think near the end of October we are going to start indoor off-road and on-road on Saturdays at the same time. Unless the day gets too long, then we may separate the days.

Would a 78 spur and a 31 pinion be ok? Running 96 spur (stock), and 38 pinion right now.

Make the diff as loose as possible, but without any slipping.

Narrow the rear track
Narrow front track width
Rear ride height higher than the front
Raise rear of center shock so it is more angled.
Stiffer side spring

Only ran the side shock a few times as I changed to the damper tubes.

I can't say any of these will be a miracle cure, but certainly worth trying (if you haven't all ready)
Either way, let us know if any of them made a difference.
I tried the tipps, only the diff it is harder now, and the car is driving so much better:nod

Thx at all "helper"

Loctite has glue with a brush in it. Makes gluing tires really easy. You can usually find it at your local home improvement store.

Yep, sounds good. Anything to get the motor close to the axle.
