And THAT is why I live in Arizona. Winter is something that happens to other people.

I probably already know the answer but I thought I would ask anyway for those of us using ORCA speedos. With the release of the 4.0 software, but not having been approved by ROAR yet I'm guessing we can not use this software correct.

Our intention is to stick to the ROAR approval lists with the exception of grandfathering in the d35.

We tested our FM transmitter setup last night and it's perfect. It ran all night without a single hiccup. The sound quality is like talk radio. Very excited for this solution, I think it's going to be great.

We're getting close! Things are coming together nicely. Everybody here is excited to see you all come to our happy home in a few short days!

The object of using roar rules and lists are to keep everyone on a level playing field. our interest is not to ban a specific company or blackball a certain product. The roar list is used because they have set standards and tests they use to try and bring that playing field to us. we also do not want to shun racers away from using the stuff that they use on a regular basis. unfortunately racing at the national level, racers should know what they are buying and if it is approved for the races they will be attending.

that being said, i have spoken to the person that does the outside testing for roar, and the hobby wing has been tested and passed. For reasons that are beyond what i care to get into, it is not on the list, but it has been tested, and it will be allowed at the MHIC. The orca 4.0 software has not been tested yet, and therefore will not be allowed.

From what I hear the Tekin RSX is in the same boat as the Hobbywing... It went through the process months ago but for some reason ROAR isn't updating its lists... unless you are Orca ...

No, not the same situation. And it's not safe to assume the delay is due to ROAR.

Thanks for the clarification Howard, I stand corrected. If anyone knows the facts, it's you
