the current plan, if the race is much bigger than last year is to ditch the qualifier on sunday morning and have more open practice. we can have an extra hour of practice instead of a 3 hour round and save a bunch of time. since we have advertised the race as a triple a main race, we don't feel comfortable ditching that. if the race goes really big, we might put the qualifier back in on sunday morning, and run single mains, but id say the first scenario is most likely.

No matter how many entries you get, there's still only one A-Main per class.

EDIT: Err... I mean one A-Main heat. So it takes the same amount of time to do Triple A's regardless of entries.

Yes, but with more entries you have additional lower mains, which is what makes the schedule longer.
