*NEW* WILDFIRE D06 Touring Car from VBC RACING
#1351
well we tested last week with active toe in and i think it is really a good option to try.
the car was superfast and stable and were able to win the national in the stock 10.5 class. we used a raceberry flex chassis with extra hole's that make it easy to use this. using this makes the car in stock also faster on the strait

Hi guys,
I've a question about the P05 suspension block for the wildfire D06.
Is the P05 block wider or narrower than the P00?
Ansteht question depends on the latest setup sheets i saw.
The most of them drives the car very narrow in the rear, what is the reason for that and what effect did it have?
Thanks for your help and greetings from Germany
Dominik

The narrower rear end provides additional steering at the sacrifice of stability (In our testing).
Our Gridworks Racing team had the highest VBC finish at Reedy in the open modified class (Second) and did so without running a narrower rear end.
Ultimately, the clock should be the determining factor, but these choices are often a matter of preference, track and or driving style and are not a one size fits all solution.
My best recommendation would be to give the narrower a rear end a shot and see for yourself. I ran a narrow rear end for some time and ultimately prefer the wider rear end on more flowing and lower bite layouts.

We've been running the D06 on asphalt since day one.
Randy's setup was a medium grip setup that needed a few tweaks for the high bite that was experienced at Tamiya during Reedy. Anyway, shoot me a PM. I am expecting to be at Tamiya the day prior to the Lyman race for a little practice.

Randy's setup is a mod setup, the aggressive asphalt setup is a spec setup

Has anyone have a good carpet setup yet?

Im working on one, but its for VTA and it uses the Dynamics aluminum chassis. My current set-up is close to what I like, but it leans a bit too but through the turns. I will hopefully have something dialed in this weekend.
If your running 17.5, it should get you in the ballpark. Ill post something when I have it.

Here is my build, went together really good. Quality is top notch for sure. Only thing I noticed, the screw count was a little off. missing some 3x6 flatheads. not a big deal but have heard this was an issue before I got the kit. We have an offroad race this weekend, so this thing will see its maiden voyage next week, excited about it actually.
