What about NorCal, I heard they're putting in a carpet track?

A few other possibilities?

Hangar 30
MRH
Thunder RC

I'd love to see it at MRH!

Omaha's bid is done. Going in once I get the sanction form signed.

I'm hoping Lincoln puts in for the paved nats. I'd actually get a car and race for that one if they'd get it.

Nebraska get either event I think it is time to come out of on road retirement. Have not been to a Paved Nats since the 2004 in Portland. That was a great event.

Good luck to the tracks applying...cool that there is still competition for the Nats.

Can we bid again David ?

This track is awesome. Hardly any tire wear. Ran the same VTA tires the whole event. I hope it goes back there.

Didn't they host it recently? And aren't they closed?

FroBoy, would HobbyPlex get new carpet for nats? Are you guys still running on the non-HD stuff from your last nats? We had some from that batch and when we replaced it with HD, so many of our traction problems went away.

Omaha is the only current track I can think of where pitting wouldn't be a problem. As I recall, they've got quite a bit of space. The last carpet nats at Horsham had to turn people away after like 120 bodies. Carpet nats has bounced back lately.

Wherever they end up....

I'd like to see the Nats go to a strong Indoor or Outdoor host Region
A good base of core racers that run standard ROAR TC, 12th & WGT classes will insure good numbers for the Big races

I know they hosted Regionals, but I don't think they hosted a Nats recently, but I could be wrong. They aren't doing club racing right now but they are still doing a couple big races a year was what I was told last time I was there.

I just suggest it because its close to me :)

In any case I think it would be a mistake to have it at a place that you had to turn drivers away because of space.

TZII hosted the 2011 Roar Carpet Nationals, then it went to Dallas for 2012, then Horshram PA this year. So if the pattern continues it comes back to the West for 2014.

It sounds like it based on what was posted on the other Thread...

Good question! Some of the problems came from bad wording of the rules and it looks like it continues in the settlement press release.

It says the D3.5 will be reinstated and remain on the list through the first quarter of 2014 (March 31st), upon the release of the D4, when it will be removed. Trincorp guaranteed this will happen before March 30.

So is the D3.5 legal until the end of the first quarter or until the D4 is released?

The way I read it is that when the D4 is added to the list, the D3.5 is removed.

What does this matter?

Trinity or their OEM tuners sponsor 99% of the fastest spec class racers. That means they will probably sweep 17.5 and 13.5 with whatever they show up with.

As far as consumers knowing what to buy. That will all work itself out early March in 2014. Racers will buy whatever Trinity is selling at the time of the race.

Not being smart...just being real.
