found a round paper washer that looks similar to the paper rings at the top part but i can't seem to find a place for it in the motor.

I just ran my 13.5 BL sintered motor this past weekend with a FDR of 4.5. I had great acceleration down the straight - this is on a parking lot track. The only issue that I had was when I slowed down going into a turn I lacked a lot of torque coming out of the turn. Do you think I should gear up to 4.0 or should I gear down more to 5.0? This is a pretty small parking lot track.

Thanks!

going to 4.0 will give you even less punch out of the turns. Going to the 5.0 will give you the bottom end grunt that you are looking for.

MarcosJ- Are you running the spread spektrum or the regular GTB (1st generation) The reason i ask is because the gearing you are suggesting. I can run that gearing with the first GTB but not the spread spektrum. I find myself gearing down to get the same out of the motor. My 4.5 loves a good 8.6 FDR with the first GTB but that same motor with the spread spektrum loves 9.66 Is this the case with your speedo's? Also....what should I look to gear a 5.5 at? I'm going to run one for the first time tomorrow for practice at the nats.

well my speedo was the GTB (regular) but now since i've been running 5 cells im using the T-spec (weighs than the GTB)

Will the normal brushless speedo work ok with a spektrum setup?
I know Novak do a new spektrum one but I can get a normal one for a good price.

Thanks

just a few questions guys:

1: at what temp does the ss13.5 thermal using a gtb?
2: can i thermal my motor a few times (i.e. 8-10 times) without doing any damage?

Cheers

How do you identify the two rotors: sintered and the other one. I have a 10.5 and it isn't as balsy as a Cameleon.

Help ??

the bonded rotor has the magnet exposed with either a kevlar wrap on it or off it depends if its a mod motor or not and the sintered rotor is nickle plated over the magnet and i think some of the mod motors have the extra wrap on them to not real sure hope this helps.
