You will have to go on TTT and tell Mr. Bill then, because that's probably the only forum that he reads besides www.indoorchamps.com

Mr. Bill replied "...AND IB 3800 NO Infinite Power 3800 CELLS" when I asked him directly on the indoor champs forum.

It looks like IB 3800's are good to go!

As far as deadshorting goes some batches may react differently to it because IB is tweaking the cells around from batch to batch trying to make the best possible cells. Racers should play it safe and not deadshort for now and if they want to try it only do it on one pack.

why is it that i bought some VTECH 3700 cells (same as IBs?) when they first came out and i get a huge drop off on performance after around 2 minutes, they just seem punchless after that. Sometimes they just plain dump far too early than they should. I charge them and discharge them exactly the same as my GPs and my GPs are still going strong. Should i treat the cells differently? or where the first 3700s crap?

Ok, thanks.
Just one more general battery question that i always wondered but never actually asked.
If i charge say 6 packs of cells the night before a meeting do they loose much charge or anything? will there be a significant performance loss?
There is no power on site and i dont have a 12v battery.

Trinity DynaPulse and 3800s
Danny - in lieu of deadshorting, what is your opinion on using the Trinity DynaPulse to lower IR and raise average voltage on the 3800s?

Fried a set of IB3600
Completly mullered a set of Integy VESC IB3600's at the weekend.!!!
Used my pro-trak as normal and charged a set of IB3600 a few days ago.
Thought I would re-peak them for use on the bench as a test at 0.08v cut off on a protrak charger after they had been sat for a few days fully charged.
Came back to find them poping and fizzing! instead of the charger switching off!
I guess you should never re-peak these IB3600 cells or use at least with a cut off much less than 0.08v or something.
I have been racing 15 years or more and never managed to fry a set of batteries before now.
Anyone else found this?
I had only run the cells once before! B*ll**ks!

Sounds like your cut-off was set way to high for I.B. cells. I believe I.B. cells need a .03 or .02 for initial charge and a .01 for a repeak. check to see what temperature they are at while charging or repeaking. They don't like to be above 130 degree farenheit. This cell has a thinner wall than previous cell and heat does effect the I.B. cells far greater than their previous counterparts.
