My 9-month old deadshorted GP3300 are better in evry way on packs that are of equal vintage-so this will be a great comparo.

Follow the guidelines on our website. You can deadshort your packs but I can't guarantee the long time effects on the IB cells since it's still a new cell.

don't use a fan while charging... Not a good idea it changes the point the pack will peak at and the batteries don't like it.
As for step charging... I have not seen any gains myself although the step charging does keep the batteries cooler and they perform about the same on the track. Maybe consider it better for the longevity of the battery??

I don’t know about good set up. But this is what I have been using. Use it at your own risk.
Step 1:
3060mA at 7A
Step 2:
3080mA at 0.2A
Step 3:
5500mA at 4A
Tn 48F Delta 04 no re peak
I am only run indoor with A/C at the moment.

sounds like it will be a walk in the park for the change over
Q) have you compared these to GP37`s in performance terms
much init or not??
i know the GP are heavier & bigger
long term with the IB`s how many charges do you reckon they can have??
close to GP33`s in life terms
you guy`s in the US have more experience with these as in the uk they are not readily available yet (won`t be legal till April 2006)

33`s in plastic bag 378gram`s 17grams difference
i was lead to believe IB cells were the same size & weight as Gp33`s???
or has this changed again
are the IB3600 same size & weight as 3800`s
