Thank you, I am one of those who put it on the shock. Was wondering why the collar was soo loose. canadians, eh !

If you want to use 3racing springs then both sets for the Big Bores and Low Profile Big Bores will fit, they are just a little loose on a un-loaded shock, once on the car and properly set they work great. The U314 series is 25mm tall the same as stock and A538 series are 20mm tall ... you can also use the lower spring retainers from the Big Bores to eliminate most of the play.

The stock xi springs are just one step firmer/harder then U314/BK/650 & equivalant to Low Profile A538/BU springs.

A pill box is perfect for organizing springs

I double checked the build (second hand car) and there is nothing wrong with it. Not that much could be wrong except the shock length and tower height, everything below is fixed. Oring was fine.

I did notice however that the same car sold under the Turnigy brand (td10 V2) comes with springs 5mm shorter.
So either the previous owner screwed up (but doesnt explain all the other guys from 2017 with the same issue), or there are xi sports out there with the wrong spring/tower combination.

If your minimum ride height is 9mm then clearly there is a problem with it ...

Both generations of the XI Sport come with 55mm shocks and 25mm springs, there are no other spring/tower combinations, the shock towers were revised on the NU kit. The TD10v2 version sold by HobbyKing that I built also came with the same 55mm shocks with 25mm springs.
These shocks mounted in the outside lower hole like in the instructions will easily give you 5mm ride height.

You bought a used car and are having issues with it ... yes a used car where the previous owner might have swapped out the shock and or springs. Take out the instructions and some calipers and figure out what is wrong with your car ...

Wanted to thank MoparSRT for his detailed post about shock springs. Ordered all of the various spring rates available as well as the suggested spring retainers from RaceVTA on Tuesday. All parts ordered arrived today. I personally like to have a suspension on the softer side. Went with the super soft on the rear and soft on the front. Settled the car down substantially.

Very impressed with the quality of the spring sets. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for tuning options.

Have not seen a chart for 64p, but 88 spur is the smallest you will fit.
to convert 48p to 64p simply divide 48p by 0.75

81t 48p is equivalent to 108t 64p

81÷0.75=108

thx I ended up going with a 98t spur and a 48t pin to be at 4.2. I really didnt like the way the car felt with 48p gears it felt funny like it didnt have the snap of 64p with it

It looks like you have at least 3 to 5mm of shock adjustment there....whats your ride height when you have the adjustment colars all the way up. Remember that your droop screws will effect ride height as well, so best to back them off as well, the set your ride height, then set the droop.

for whatever reason I was going off of 2.1 for my math. I saw 2:1 on page 2 and thought it was 2.1 not 2. Guess I should've just did the math when building it. 38÷19=2
