Does anybody know which rollbar clamps these are?

I've noticed a few of the top drivers are using them.

I'm driving the Mi5Evo for the first season and I would like to install some upgrades. Can you guys help me with the following questions?
  • Are there black titanium or aluminium turnbuckles you can recommend?
  • What exactly has been optimized with the 2015 shock towers? The range left-right, height?
  • Do you have experiences with the aluminium rear axle? Especially durability and weight.
  • Which aluminium spring cups fit?

Thanks

Only the purple we're aware of; U4579

As close as we can tell, the holes are shifted towards the inside; seems to be in between the stock locations.. changes wheel rate slightly
  • Do you have experiences with the aluminium rear axle? Especially durability and weight.
Yes .. durability is fine.. no issues in mod for us.. from memory, I believe they save ~8 grams total
  • Which aluminium spring cups fit?
The best choice are the U3611 - you'd need 2 sets

Thanks
Rincewind

.. hope it helps..!

Core RC do silver titanium turnbuckles which look better than the purple ones

CR473-35mm
CR474-38mm

You'll need a 3mm turnbuckle wrench for them though.

Hi,

2015 shock mounts are inwards by less than half a hole, no real difference to be honest.
Alloy rear drive help with traction out of the corner and very durable.
U3611 Alloy Spring Seat - All shock types
Turnbuckles just standard for me.
Biggest option part to get are chassis braces, play around with these!!

We used the MM on the original 5 with some success. It seemed to work best for us on tight, high bite, carpet where you didn't need so much weight transfer. The car felt very neutral overall and pretty easy to drive. We found it to favor a bit more of an easier/smooth driving style vs a more aggressive one if that makes any sense .. hope it helps..

I managed to get some black aluminium turnbuckles for the Mi5Evo! The ones for the ARC R10 are 37mm and fit for suspension and steering (search for ARC R102815). About 7g in weight savings for 6 turnbuckles. I'm still searching for a longer one to replace the servo turnbuckle, but until now had no luck.

Anyone knows where I can get a aluminium turnbuckle in 52mm?

Another question: has anybody used the aluminium chassis from Avid? How does it compare to the original one from Schumacher?
