Hey some people spend money to try and prepare for a big race like this. It may not be important to you but it is to them. I am sure if you were all set to run 17.5 blinky and then you had learned that it was 13,5 open you would be upset.

As do I! I gave a solution in a previous post on this thread, maybe you should read it. Why get upset? It is RC, we all spend alot of money to do this, why get upset over a $70.00 motor, all other things considered?

Mr.Cooper your talking about in the state races and we are talking nationals.
Roar has done this several times over the years. Take an established running class and change the rules. Our state series started 1/10th pan cars and after a year changed the rules. We ran 7 cells stock and 5 minutes. Roar came out with 6 cell and 4 minutes. Tried to get the one minute back and it took many years. So the question about it's just a 70.00 motor is not the answer! The USVTA has published rules that" EVERYONE" has followed since it started. Here comes ROAR and makes there own rules. USVTA does allow a 21.5 motor but that is in the other class that they support. But it is not as popular.I don't recall you ever running or wanting to run this class before, So are you now considering running this class too?
I'll take my info from Tim as he's the one putting on the show.

I was wondering if someone could clarify this for me.
Would someone be allowed to race all 3 TC classes or just 17.5 and mod, or is it only "17.5 and 13.5" or "13.5 and mod"?

Thanks

BTW, sorry for adding to the VTA drama. Especially since I don't care at all about that class. I was just responding to the question about what the ROAR rules are. It snowballed a bit, though.

You can't run 17.5 and mod but only the other options.
