Default JRX-S or FK05

Hello,

The other thread got too long and I finally came down to two cars:

JRX-S and FK05

I am racing on carpet with foams, on a tight, short track with one straightaway.

I gotta make up my mind this week, I'm getting one of these two for my birthday!

Oh and please don't tell me about other cars, because I already decided on these two.

I would pick the FK05 from Xray. Just take a look at the results from Snowbirds for example, it just proves how fast and easy to setup the car is on foam tires.

Xray/Hudy is probably the most dedicated and hard-working RC company today, the quality of the parts and support is awesome.

You won't be disappointed!

i know i don't own either but i have owned a losi before and i have owned an xray before.

and to be honest, the xray was far better quality...

i think losi have got the design right, very good design indeed but it just won't work...its like the pro3, they got everything in the centre and low down but it just didn't work.

so i am going to say the FK05.

JRX-S will not be taken over by another xray probably like the fk04 was. Availability of parts more wide and probably more upgrade parts available. Also the JRX-S looks alot more innovative and stylish, performance wise, you make the car good

With the Losi you will have abetter chance finding parts.

Also the Tech support with the Losi is far better than the Xray. Dealing with the Xray forum the company reps could be improved.

Yep, the car is dialed, and will only get better, i.e, parts / set up / price / etc....

The Team Losi car would be a better choise. For one team losi products are everywhere. Two, Xray parts are more expensive due to the weak dollar to euro exchange rate. Three, not many shops carry the Xray product line.

Depends...

Where I live Losi support is terrible, you might find a Losi RTR on the shelf but no parts...

XRay, well yes the parts are abit more money, though I sure don't break the 05 like the TC4 I used to run... (never owned a losi so cannot comment on durability)

In my area, the JRXS would not even be in the running.

i know a guy at my track that is a huge xray guy and has been running them for yaers. he always gets the new cars and runs them for a bit to see how he likes them to his xray but he always goes back to it. however when he got the losi he was shocked and was accually upset that he found a better car, and that was the first day he ran its out of the box with stock set up! if you want to go belt i say from what i have seen at my tack go losi. i am a shaft guy but if i wanted a belt and had the money the losi is what i would get

I'd take the XRAY for the simple fact that the JRX-S has battery fitment issues.
