I'm on Hardware version 1.20.
I cant see why 5cell wouldnt be anything more than a software update - but then again, i wouldnt take my word for it

The prototypes are very simple and effective.
Just a wire with some resistance to connect between the + and - of the 6th cell and a wire to connect at the 5th cell.
Very simple to install and it's all you need to charge 5cells.

it's very simple, just 3 connecters, takes about a few seconds.
And don't forget to change the settings between 5 and 6.

I have been having problems running my ICC using a PC power supply as it regularly tells me that the power supply is 'Out of range'.
When I measure the voltage at the input connectors using a calibrated DVM it reads 12.35V or similar and the voltage accoding to the 'System Information' is around 12.10V.
At what voltage does the unit say 'Out of range', and is there a potentiometer or similar I can adjust to calibrate the ICC?
Also, while charging IB4200's and getting these problems with the PSU my packs charge up to 5100mah according to the screen, and despite my setting the temp cutoff to 42degC etc they seem to peak (It says the cell is Full on the screen) then carry on charging a couple of minutes later.
When I then discharge the pack the cells range from 3880mah to 4250mah.
Is this caused by the PSU problem or is there another fault?
I still think I'm having a problem where the cells try to peak by temperature and not the peak voltage no matter how I set the 'Settings'.
Will any of these things be addressed in the new firmware revision due soon?

I am not erik, but i ran across your post, so i hope you don't mind me giving my 2 cents...
I was just wondering... what is the version of ur firmware? i 'heard' on this thread that v1.06b was suppose to fix this problem.
It auto continue charging thing is suppose to be a good feature or something.... i cannot remember why, but if one cell stops charging early while the others continue to charge... and the difference amounts to 1000mah or something.. .then the one cell that stops will start charging again.. i cannot remember the reason...

We have one ICC that is on V1.05b and one on V1.06b firmware. Both units are power supply voltage dependent. We use Rivergate power supplies (http://www.rivergatedist.com/rivergate.htm) and have the jumper installed to supply the higher voltage of 14.2 vdc. I have had problems with both ICC chargers when the supply voltage is below 12 or close to it. We have a converted computer PS that we use on the home work bench, its voltage is too low for reliable use with the ICC but powers all of our other chargers without any problems. I don't know how the ICC is designed but I know that I have a lot fewer problems when the supply voltage is closer to 14 vdc. V1.06b firmware removes the repeak of the cells after they peak the first time. Also use the celsius temperature scale for best results.

I have put Car headlight bulbs on the 5V line and this hasn't made much of a difference. THe irony is that the PSU's output is higher than the ICC says it is
