I painted up a new body for my TT02,
I don't have the correct wheels on it, ...i put them on quickly to snap a few photos. They have the incorrect offset in the rear. Also I have to trim the body posts so they are not sticking up so high. ...so kind of still a work in progress. |
Nice paint job.. Looking good

thanks! :)
its simple, ..but it works for me. |
Not so simple.. you did all the panel lines in black.. that's a lot of work!

Anyone has experience running the TT02 type s for TCS spec novice? My girl friend is doing spec novice class this year with a TT02R but I'm curious if the much more precise ta05 long reversible suspension makes a noticeable difference with the crappy spec tires.
Thanks! |

Hey all, love all the data in this forum, really great stuff! I live in Nashville and started putting together a TT-02R to try and run USGT at Thunder Racing. I have a TrackStar 21.5 Brushless, Hobbywing stock Spec ESC, and Savox servo. The battery is racer's edge 2S, 5000mAH. I stopped in one weekend and the cars there are super competitive, I think starting with a TT02 may be tough! FDR is 3.7 - 3.8, so I plan to try and run a 72T spur with a 50T pinion. I know I have a lot to learn to get racing, but hope to have some fun as I learn.

You can get just about any FDR you desire in the TT-02

With the stock gears in the TT02 you won't be able to run a 72 spur. You may have to figure how to achieve a similar FDR using Tamiya gears. They are a different pitch. When I ran a TT01E we ran 55/25 with the solver can motors.

Thanks, I am running the R model, which includes the adjustable aluminum mount and the high speed gear set. It includes a standard spur holder, so I can swap over to any standard spur gear with matching pitch pinion, and should not be limited to the Tamiya pitch gears (unless I have misread)

The R comes with an aluminium mount but not an adjustable one. You need one by 3Racing or Yeah racing. They are cheap

Here is the car, I should prob shorten the motor wires :)
