Need rear downforce
Looking to get a new body with lots of downforce in the rear. I can only use a Tamiya TT-02 body, and can't add rear wings. Anyone know which one would have the most, or what I should be looking for?

Check out the Raikiri Body from Tamiya. Comes in box stock form so you should be good to use it.

The kit tires tamiya 51049 medium compound are good for what surface carpet or asphalt. Rather use them up on practice days than have them sitting in a box

They're ok for ashphalt.
No good for low-grip carpet. |
So I'm still using brushed set up on mine. What would be an appropriate brushless motor for average non racing use. |

Yea but it's on back order. Does the kv matter or just the tooth size |
I am a die hard TC racer but have had a few Hahn trucks in the past. Being super impressed how quick / good a box stock TT01 does with a truck body got me intrigued to build my first TT02 GT style kit. This is a box stock build with bearings / USGT tires. Once I mentioned it to my local race buddies they decided to grab some TT02 kit's as well and create a new class for our track. Rules being bearings, stock pinion size and hex screws permitted. Must use Tamiya Bodies only. This should help bridge the gap between a fresh new comer and a $1200 TC set up. The cars can always be upgraded with some key parts and put into another class like VTA or Usgt even.
I opted for the new S550 GT4 stang kit and got it done :D Packed the diffs with Aw grease and the first few packs the car was on the money right off the bat. For reference the fastest VTA cars were 9.7 fast laps to 10.5 mid pack. I could click off 10.0-10.2's almost every lap with this TT02 and it looks great doing it. It's not insane fast but the Silver can always does good by me! Nice water break in with some oil on the bushings and away it rips. I still have to finish the head light buckets but I will have a Raikiri body to try shortly. It was a really good idea to do a yellow Mustang Body. Looks awesome!

I have saying for awhile that the TT02 would be a great entry spec class that allows for a chassis to be used in other classes as the driver improves |
