ROAR has so many irons in the fire right now that they probably wont be on here to answer any questions. The 1C rule was taken out of the rules in 2011 but as you can see the rule book online is still from 2010. I was still part of the Electric section when it was taken out and instead they added that all packs must be charged on a balance charger or inline balancer.

Here is my point how can they inforce rules at this national but not at the ones last year i am looking forward to this race but if i show up to only be kicked out of the classes i signed up for you will hear some words being said thats kids should not hear

this has been a national thread and not one person from Roar has chimed in on any of the subjects (why do we go to nationals and pay crazy entry fee's again) this race is 4 weeks away and rules need to be sorted out asap

I kinda feel left out, I didn't start any trouble this year

so I'll start now, man up fellas, a duo 3.5 17.5 is almost as fast as a 13.5 anyway, if you've been racing at a national level for 5+ years, MAN UP!.

I don't mind racing a 13.5 what I do mind is spending all the time and money to race against 12 people at a national. It's not about manning up its about being able to put four rounds of qualifiers in to qualify in 17.5 and not carring if i blow out and still make the show in 13.5. Do you see my point.

There is plenty of talent in the small field, so you feel better if you beat 30 extra people who have no chance of winning anyway vs beating 10 top level drivers?

From Steve Pond on the ROAR Forum about the 17.5 and 13.5 Classes:

"Regarding the 13.5 class winners, if you've already graduated the "super stock" class, it stands to reason that they would not be able to compete in the 17.5 class. 13.5 winners can still run in 13.5 and mod, but not 17.5."

"Even tough the classes have changed from what first made the rule relevant, the 13.5 class doesn't fall under the same rules as the 17.5 class. Those excluded from 17.5 due to past victories will have two classes to race if they choose to run modified as well, but a former winner in 13.5 can't be limited to mod and has been welcome to run the class again."

So anyone who has won a 17.5 or 13.5 National in On-road will not be allowed to run 17.5 in anything. You can run 13.5 and Modified.

Mark Smyka should not be allowed in stock. He takes up too much room in the drivers stand.

I would rather have to drive clean for 6 minutes and earn it. Don't act like there's no talent in 17.5 and its gonna be a walk in the park to make the show. It's gonna be harder to make the show in 17.5 then 13.5. And I'm not saying there's no talent in 13.5. I'm going to a nationals where u expect to run against more people then your local club race.

This looks like it will be the most competitive ROAR Nats for some time. Nearly enough entries for C-mains in all classes. Impressive!

The reason the stock fields are so hard, and the 13.5 field thin, is because of guys like you who never move up. If you have ever won a big race in any class, stock, world gt, whatever, at Cleveland, birds, nats, Vegas you should not be running stock. There are a lot of guys running stock that should not be running it. I think it's pretty gay. If you feel like you have to defend your right to run stock......you should not be running stock.

Me personally as a mid level 17.5 racer I enjoy running against the big boys in 17.5 because it feels better when I beat them. I say bring on Jeff Cuffs lol
