Generally the spool will lose you off power steering on corner entry, especially if you're changing from a diff or one-way. i managed to get most of it back with a few setup changes though.

Went to a softer front spring and laid the front shocks down to the 2nd hole from last, added around a half degree of additional toe out in front but be careful with this it can make the car feel quite twitchy. Also added 1mm of rear droop to get more weight transfer to the front when coming off power.

Which hole do you guys attach the camber links? And the spacers? No one seems to tweak the roll centre and camber gain much?

thats because it's enough ofa headache to tweak for the guys designing the car, let alone those racing it

Need advices also for my Orion 10.5 motor, what are the good Gear and Pinion combination for the said motor?

Mamba Max 7700Kv, Losi Xcelorin 3.5T or a Novak GTB 3.5T, which is better to put in a TA05 with aluminium outdrives?

The Mamba Max wont fit behind the motor, The GTB is a tight squeeze (I have this in my IFS-R), Not sure on the losi footprint. Why not a Tekin RS pro system? I bought 3 of these for other projects and wont buy another esc Mfg unless its the size of the Tekin.

For those that are interested..

Using 6mm of spacers under the battery bar posts and the battery hold down piece from the TA05MS (completely flat, no shaped cell pieces on one side like the standard TA05 part) and you can fit tall lipo packs with large capacities like the LRP 5300 and TrakPower 4900/5400s etc.

Its a perfect fit once the above is done, required no dremelling of the slots to take out the shaped pices for NiMH cells.

Guys/gals,

Tamiya only has the wide pitch pulley for diff and one-way, not for spool. does it make a significant difference for spool?

I am 99% sure I have the diff one on my spool.

I ran a Losi ESC in my 05 today. Same basic footprint as the GTB.

the spool and one-way use the same pulley.. the wide pitch one way pulley will most certainly fit the spool (have one in my hand right now).
